Orange County Noise Ordinance Amendments <br />During the recent past, concerned citizens have requested that the Board of County <br />Commissioners review the County's Noise Ordinance, The purposes of this public hearing are <br />to hear a staff report, to allow the public to comment on the proposals, and to begin the process <br />of considering amendments to the noise ordinance, The objective of the amendments will be <br />the adoption of a noise ordinance that provides certainty to all citizens, the business community, <br />other public/private organizations and enforcement officials, Other parties to be involved are <br />the County Attorney's Office, the SherifFs Office, the Planning Department, and ERCD. <br />Proposed amendments will include, but may not be limited to, the following areas: <br />• Maximum frequency and intensity standards of noise emanating from properties and <br />other general activities, <br />• Specific protocol used to measure ambient community noise levels and specific event <br />and noise episodes, <br />• Enforcement. <br />• Time of day restrictions on decibel levels. <br />
