The appeal hearing will be audio taped and a copy of the audiotape will be <br />retained for a period of one year in the office of the Deparment. <br />h. A written heazing sununary will be prepazed by the Department that includes <br />substantive discussion, pertinent documentation, and the decision of the <br />Committee, <br />i. The decision of the Committee is the final administrative decision. <br />j, During the appeal process, the determination made by the Director is "held in <br />suspension" pending the final decision of the Conunittee. <br />k, Written confirmation of the final decision of the Committee will be mailed to <br />the dog owner as soon as practicable after the final decision. <br />4. Any appeal from the final decision of the Committee shall be taken to the Orange <br />County Superior Court by filing notice of appeal and a petition far review within 10 days <br />of the fmal decision of the Committee as provided in G,S. 67-4.1(c). <br />
