7. Orange County facilities that undergo permitted construction within the Town's <br /> jurisdiction shall be permitted through the Town, and jurisdiction shall apply to the <br /> Town Fire Marshal. <br /> 8. In absence of the Town Fire Marshal or in need of assistance, a representative of the <br /> Chapel Hill Fire Department may request for the Orange County Fire Marshal's <br /> Division to provide fire investigation services within the Town's jurisdiction. Also <br /> in the absence of the Town Fire Marshal, the Town Manager may request assistance <br /> from the Orange County Fire Marshal for fire code enforcement within the Town's <br /> jurisdiction. <br /> 9. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent appropriate Town agencies or personnel <br /> from assisting in the enforcement of the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code <br /> and in detecting and reporting such violations as they deem necessary. <br /> 10.
