DocuSign Envelope ID:43AE855E-F337-42FD-9D72-E26B8322A5F5 <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> Between <br /> ORANGE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br /> And <br /> ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into the 01 day of .5,41,-{, 201(40 <br /> between the Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS) and Orange County Schools <br /> (OCS) outlines the responsibilities of both parties to provide services for pregnant and parenting <br /> adolescents within the Orange County School district through the Orange County Adolescent <br /> Parenting Program (APP). <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding is effective beginning July 1, 2011,4, and ending June 30. <br /> 20N) <br /> A. Orange County Department of Social Services agrees to: <br /> 1. Provide a Teen Parent Social Worker to do case management services for pregnant and <br /> parenting teens in the Orange County School district working toward their high school <br /> diploma or equivalency. These services shall include prevention of the adolescents' <br /> second pregnancy, completion of their high school education, and prevention of <br /> abuse/neglect of their children as well as primary pregnancy prevention consultation and <br /> education with individuals and student groups. <br /> 2. Supervise directly the Teen Parent Social Worker, a County employee who is <br /> accountable to DSS. <br /> 3. Include the OCS liaison on the hiring committee any time a new Teen Parent Social <br /> Worker for Orange County Schools must be hired. <br /> B. Orange County Schools agrees to: <br /> 1. Assign a liaison to provide coordination and oversight of the Orange County Adolescent <br /> Parenting Program in the school district. <br /> 2. Provide a furnished office and parking space at Orange High School, office equipment, <br /> clerical support, and telephone access at no charge to the Orange County Department of <br /> Social Services. <br /> C. Both the Orange County Department of Social Services and Orange County Schools <br /> agree to: <br /> 1. Develop procedures for referrals and the provision of services for pregnant and parenting <br /> students in Orange County Schools. <br /> 1 <br /> Revised 8/2016 <br />
