11 <br /> In conclusion, the intent of the various economic development programs funded by <br /> Article 46 is to benefit all Orange County residents by supporting a thriving local <br /> economy. The County's various economic development programs that are <br /> supported by Article 46 have been created to broadly benefit all residents by <br /> promoting non-residential economic growth. <br /> Please refer to Attachment 3, "Shared Funding on Projects", slides 1 — 12, a <br /> detailed PowerPoint providing detailed examples of use, areas of notable successes, <br /> balances in the current FY 2018-19 County budget, and examples of how Article 46 <br /> funding is spread throughout the County & three Towns according to specific uses. <br /> Staff will provide any other information at the meeting, and the governing boards can <br /> discuss issues and provide feedback to staff related to this item as necessary. <br /> Attachment 3— Shared Funding on Projects <br /> b) Improving Project Collaboration Opportunities (Courtesy Review Potential <br /> Enhancements, Conversation Opportunities between Jurisdictions on Projects <br /> (Examples: 203 Project Carrboro, Gateway in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough Train <br /> Station)) <br /> Orange County Economic Development's staff recognizes the importance of <br /> maintaining a positive & productive working relationship with our towns' professional <br /> economic developers, planners & tourism leaders in Carrboro, Hillsborough & <br /> Chapel Hill. County staff strives to a have a mutually beneficially dialog with all <br /> agencies, and, cooperation in the sharing of information, talent and participation of <br /> all groups. At the staff working level, there is good comradery and trust among the <br /> groups. <br /> There are many examples of successful joint partnerships the County's & Towns' <br /> economic development endeavors, and much of the County's level of collaboration <br /> on major projects is tied to the availability of Article 46 funding.
