J <br /> iii. Guest instructors may deliver training upon approval of the OCES <br /> EMS or Fire Training Officer. <br /> f. Scheduling. A schedule of time served by squad members shall be recorded <br /> and submitted to the OCES EMS Operations Manager quarterly. The <br /> submission shall reflect all hours in the commission of providing patient care. <br /> The submissions shall reflect all special events, deployments, callouts; <br /> emergency and/or non-emergency events provided. <br /> g. Data Collection and Reporting. County-specified data collection systems shall <br /> be purchased by the squad and utilize the data resources as prescribed by the <br /> County for the acquisition, transmission and reporting of patient care reports <br /> and other EMS data associated with BLS Transport and EMT Non-Transport. <br /> h. Communication. Only radio, paging, communication and/or data transmission <br /> equipment which complies with the County's communications system plan <br /> and requirements including the specification, use and maintenance of mobile, <br /> portable and accessory radio equipment shall be purchased or used by SORS. <br /> i. Confidentiality of Patient Information. All members of the squad shall protect <br /> all medical information obtained and used in the provision of Emergency <br /> Medical Services, in compliance with local, state, and federal confidentiality <br /> provisions. <br /> j. Standard operating guideline (SOG) updates for this document will be <br /> submitted to the Emergency Services Director for review and approval. <br /> k. Rescue Services. The Emergency Services Director will assist SORS in <br /> developing or updating guidelines to comply with all minimum requirements <br /> of the North Carolina Association of Rescue Squads and EMS for swift water, <br /> confined space, and high angle rescue. <br /> 1. The Director of Emergency Services or his designee shall determine the level <br /> of service for all special events. Notification of all special event requests <br /> shall be transmitted to the OCES EMS Operations Manager no later than <br /> seven days prior to the event. <br /> i. The OCES EMS Operations Manager or designee will review the <br /> request and all documentation to determine the level of care and <br /> service to be provided. If the OCES EMS special events designee <br /> determines the service should be ALS, an OCES EMS paramedic will <br /> be scheduled. <br /> ii. The Chief of SORS shall submit to the EMS Operations Manager all <br /> invoices for reimbursement of approved costs, related to special <br /> events, for BLS transport and EMT Non-Transport coverage requested <br /> by the County within two weeks of receipt of service delivery.
