b. The Chief of South Orange shall serve as the administrative contact point for SORS. <br /> i. Following a change of command the name of the replacement shall be <br /> provided in writing to the Director of Emergency Services within twenty- <br /> four hours. <br /> ii. A notice of personnel change within the command officer ranks, including <br /> the Chair of the Board of Directors shall be communicated in writing to the <br /> Emergency Services Director within twenty-four hours following the change <br /> of personnel. <br /> c. The Orange County Emergency Services Director shall serve as the administrative <br /> contact point for the County with the EMS Operations Manager serving as the <br /> backup to the Director. <br /> i. A notice of personnel change within the command officer ranks shall be <br /> communicated in writing to the administrative contact point within twenty- <br /> four hours following the change of personnel. <br /> d. Personnel. No personnel will be released for field operations without approval of the <br /> Emergency Services Director or his designee. <br /> i. Monthly a roster of new candidates will be transmitted to the director <br /> accompanied with background information, training verification, driving <br /> record verification and background check submitted on the forms supplied <br /> by Orange County Emergency Services("OCES"). <br /> ii. Following review, the director will verify a roster of approved personnel to <br /> the Chief of SORS and OCES EMS Operations Manager to be added to the <br /> credentialed database of practitioners. <br /> iii. All squad members shall comply with the County's Credentialing and <br /> Compliance Policy administered by the OCES EMS Operations Manager <br /> under the direction of the County Medical Director. <br /> iv. SORS will comply with the Orange County Infection Control Plan. <br /> v. While operating emergency vehicles SORS shall conduct post-accident drug <br /> and alcohol screening. <br /> vi. SORS will provide a list of drivers semi-annually. OCES will conduct a <br /> driver's license background check and will provide SORS with the results. <br /> e. EMS Continuing Education training towards NC OEMS recertification. <br /> i. Rosters will be transmitted to the OC EMS Training Officer no more <br /> than 48 hours following delivery of the class. <br /> ii. Must be provided by instructors approved by OCES EMS. <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
