Contract No. TJCOG— CBS -004 <br />Funding in the amount of $84,530 is provided by the U.S. DOE American Recovery and Reinvestment Act <br />monies to cover the incremental cost of purchasing the vehicle and/or purchasing equipment for alternative fuels <br />infrastructure. Incremental cost shall be calculated on the difference between the cost of the AFV /Advanced <br />Technology Vehicle and the cost of a comparable conventional model verified by manufacturer estimate, after <br />all other applicable manufacturer and local/state rebates, tax credits, and cash equivalent incentives are applied. <br />Funding shall be applied to the following activities: <br />Purchase and install electric vehicle charging infrastructure. <br />Required match will be a minimum of $0.00. <br />Invoicing: <br />Submit all the required documentation (i.e. copy of title, photographic documentation, equipment cost details, <br />comparable non -AFV vehicle price info, technology certification, invoice for reimbursement, and other <br />documentation as described above) to TJCOG. After review and approval, funds will be distributed for <br />reimbursement. <br />Site Visits: <br />U.S. DOE and its authorized representatives have the right to make site visits at reasonable times to review <br />project accomplishments and management control systems and to provide technical assistance, if required. <br />Orange County must provide reasonable access to facilities, office space, resources, and assistance for the safety <br />and convenience of the government representatives in the performance of their duties. All site visits and <br />evaluations must be performed in a manner that does not unduly interfere with or delay the work. <br />Period of Performance: <br />This contract becomes effective on May 1, 2010 and terminates on April 30, 2014 <br />Publications: <br />An acknowledgment of Federal support and a disclaimer must appear in the publication of any material, whether <br />copyrighted or not, based on or developed under this project, as follows: <br />Acknowledgment: "This material is based upon work supported by the Department of Energy under Award <br />Number DE- EE0002491." <br />Disclaimer: "This report was prepared as an account of work sponsored by an agency of the United States <br />Government. Neither the United States Government nor any agency thereof, nor any of their employees, makes <br />any warranty, express or implied, or assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, <br />or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product, or process disclosed, or represents that its use would not <br />infringe privately owned rights. The views and opinions <br />of authors expressed herein do not necessarily state or reflect those of the United States Government or any <br />agency thereof." <br />Reporting Requirements: <br />The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act require that the public be informed of how money is used for <br />economic recovery. The law ensures accountability and transparency through a number of reporting <br />requirements. Under the guidelines in the law, Orange County will be required to: <br />• Report on the use of recovery funds for this program; <br />• Ensure the funds are used appropriately as defined by the law; <br />• Provide the number of jobs that were created or saved by the funds. <br />Page 14 of 34 <br />
