ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br /> CARRBORO HIGH SCHOOL WINNING 2018 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> IN WOMEN ' S CROSS COUNTRY <br /> WHEREAS , on November 3 , 2018 , the Carrboro High School Women ' s Cross <br /> Country Team won the North Carolina High School Athletic <br /> Association ' s 2A State Championship ; and <br /> WHEREAS , under the guidance of Coach Mimi O ' Grady , the team won its sixth <br /> state championship ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Hannah Preisser won the individual state championship , becoming <br /> the seventh Jaguars runner to win an individual state title ; and <br /> WHEREAS , through hard work , dedication , teamwork, and commitment , the team <br /> brought honor upon themselves , Carrboro High School , the Chapel <br /> Hill/Carrboro City Schools District and Orange County , <br /> NOW , THEREFORE , be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the <br /> Carrboro High School Women ' s Cross Country Team and Coach <br /> O ' Grady for their outstanding achievement , and their inspiration to <br /> youth across North Carolina through their dedication , teamwork, and <br /> athletic prowess . <br /> This the 22 " d day of January 2019 . <br /> 60 . . 1 `✓' <br /> 'a <br /> 1 • � �yd".r' <br /> �.F <br /> Penny Rich , Chair <br /> ¢ � � Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> a a� <br />
