Funding Streams 33 <br /> In 2017 Orange County Public Transportation became aware of various "Urbanized <br /> Area" grant funds that have been apportioned to Orange County by the FTA (Federal <br /> Transit Administration), through the two MPO's (Metropolitan Planning Organizations)- <br /> DCHC (Durham Chapel Hill Carrboro) and Burlington Graham; and "Air Quality" grant <br /> funds through TARPO (Triangle Area rural Planning Organization). Listed below are the <br /> multiple funding sources available to OCPT for Operations, Administrative and Capital <br /> assistance for both the rural and urbanized areas. <br /> Federal <br /> 5307 Urbanized area grants- DCHCMPO, BGMPO apportionments <br /> 5310 Senior programs transportation- through Orange County Department on Aging <br /> 5311 CTP (Community Transportation Program)- Rural area administrative grant <br /> 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities- Capital purchases of replacement vehicles and equipment <br /> State <br /> Article 43 Tax district- includes transit sales tax proceeds and vehicle registration fees <br /> Medicaid transportation — through Orange County Department of Social Services <br /> ROAP- Rural Operating Assistance Program (EDTAP, RGP, EMPL) <br /> CMAQ- Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant- through TARPO <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> 6 NORTH CAROLINA <br />
