8, Develops and maintain cooperative working relationships within the County and with <br />Town officials on shelter and animal control needs. <br />9, Oversees the development of community outreach programs to promote the <br />fostering or adoption of animals from the shelter. <br />10, Develops recommended longer term, strategic plans for animal services, including <br />necessary community input, In this provides for objectives to accomplish the plans <br />and performance measures to assess progress in meeting these, <br />11, Oversee the business operation of the animal services organization including facility <br />management, budget, personnel, and purchasing. Manages the fee development <br />recommendation process, including appropriate cost analysis, <br />12. Maintain responsibility for the health and welfare of animals in the shelter and/or in <br />County custody. <br />13, Works closely with Shelter management to develop and manage contractual <br />arrangements for veterinary services as well as assuring the necessary monitoring <br />and appropriate treatment far animals in need of veterinary attention. <br />14, Oversee the collection and reporting of data used in animal intake, licensing and <br />shelter management to assure the accuracy of data and that the organization's data <br />needs are met, <br />15.Oversee the development and distribution of public education information and <br />promotional activities for the community on animal issues and care. <br />16. Work to ensure necessary communication and coordination with the Health <br />Department in the fulfillment of statutory responsibilities that pertain to vicious animal <br />confinement, rabies control and zoonotic disease transmission within the County. <br />17.Assure provision of processes for citizens to provide feedback and raise complaints <br />as appropriate and that these are addressed effectively and in a timely way. <br />18, Engage and facilitate volunteer participation and private philanthropy that help <br />further organizational mission and objectives, <br />19.
