Minutes - Regular Meeting <br /> Solid Waste Advisory Board <br /> June 5, 2008 <br /> Approved August 7, 2008 <br /> Attendance : Jan Sassaman, Bonnie Norwood, BJ Tipton, Linda Bowerman, and Michelle <br /> Grunwald <br /> Staff: Blair Pollock, Paul Spire, Wanda McCain, and Hary Howard <br /> Guest: Bob Sallach, Louis Watts <br /> 1 . Adoption of Minutes from May 1 SWAB meeting Norwood moves to accept. <br /> Grunwald 2nd. Passes unanimously <br /> 2 . Board Member Comments None <br /> 3 . Transfer Station Siting - Process Update Pollock states that Bob Sallach and Louis <br /> Watts are from Olver Inc . , the engineering firm that we have retained to help with the <br /> transfer station siting and design and the landfill gas project. They will be doing the <br /> presentations tonight. The transfer station siting presentation will be recapping what <br /> the Commissioners have gone through . In addition to the presentation this will be an <br /> opportunity for you all to ask questions about the other sets of criteria and provide <br /> any input you might have about the criteria . <br /> Presentation by Bob Sallach <br /> The information presented tonight is also on the website <br /> www . olver . com / oran ecg oun!y <br /> Pollock states that this could be characterized as a blind process - there are no sites on <br /> the table until all the criteria are set <br /> Sallach replies yes, there are no sites at this point. <br /> Sassaman asks when do you have the sites — going from exclusionary to technical? <br /> Sallach replies yes . <br /> Sassaman asks how does this schedule correlate with the original schedule you <br /> proposed . <br /> Sallach replies that we are behind . We had hoped to be at the point of having <br /> candidate sites at the meeting on the 24tn , <br /> Sassaman asks are you going to be able to compress it towards the end . <br /> 1 <br />
