BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in the Regular Meeting Schedule, The Board of County Commissioners will consider amending their regular meeting schedule by adding two public hearings: Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill and Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North Carolina; and by adding a special meeting (work session) on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina to discuss EMS/Fire/Rescue Squad issues and the county's position on proposals regarding development in the Jordan Lake watershed, FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular meeting calendar by adding two public hearings: Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the F.
