The program is empowered to <br /> make land purchases , buy or accept as gifts conservation easements , donations , and <br /> Al <br /> charitable gifts and use other methods for acquisition of natural and cultural resource <br /> lands and potential park sites . <br /> Status <br /> The County made four major purchases in 12000 -2001 . <br /> Plans for 2002 <br /> The EIE has determined that the Biological Resources Committee would be the more <br /> appropriate committee to work with the County on prioritizing acquisitions for the Lands <br /> Legacy Program .
