10 <br /> VI . Timber Harvesting Session ( 11 / 28 ) <br /> Stancil reviewed the proposed agenda for November 28th Timber Harvesting <br /> Information Session , included as Page 36 of the agenda materials . <br /> CfE members discussed ideas for a press release , newspaper article , flyer, <br /> and direct mailings . Lee Rafalow agreed to draft a letter to the editors . <br /> Stancil reported on efforts to coordinate the CfE meeting with a similar <br /> meeting being proposed by the NC Forest Service . He reviewed a draft <br /> proposal from Don Watson of the NC Forest Service , included as Pages 37 - 40 <br /> of the agenda materials . Stancil said he had not yet heard back from the <br /> Forest Service on his offer to meet and make sure that the two meetings <br /> would complement each other rather than compete with one another . <br /> The CfE decided to move forward with its November 28 meeting as planned . <br /> Tucker and Cotterman volunteered to attend the proposed Forestry meeting <br /> as CfE representatives . <br /> VII . Updates <br /> Stancil reported that the AFLEV work group met recently and is reviewing a <br /> report for the BOCC . Staff is preparing a grant application for a low emission <br /> vehicles to replace some older County vehicles and a compressed natural gas <br /> vehicle fueling station . A report to the CfE will be available by November or <br /> December. <br /> The SOCF Sustainability Report is nearing completion by Pam McIntosh <br /> ( consultant) and will feature case studies using the indicators found in the <br /> SOCF report and an assessment of other indicators that are not measurable . <br /> VIII .
