The hearing has been set for January 4 , <br /> 2000 in the Washington , D . C . area . The issue is currently in the discovery <br /> phase , with County consultants Thompson and Lochbaum scheduled to be in <br /> Hillsborough on September 16 and 17 to review materials and ask questions <br /> of CP &L . The County has applied to the Z . Smith Reynolds Foundation for a <br /> grant to cover expenses of pursuing the matter . <br />
