Next , Stancil presented CFE members with a gift from the BOCC ( soup/ coffee mug ) and <br /> expressed of appreciation for members ' volunteer service to the Commission for the <br /> Environment . <br /> IV. Updates <br /> Stancil and Shaw provided brief updates on the following issues . <br /> a . Capital Needs Task Force/ November Bond - Final Report <br /> An $ 85 million bond proposal was developed by the Capital Needs Task Force , a <br /> copy of which was provided in the agenda packet . The proposal will be <br /> presented to the BOCC in late June for its consideration and approval . <br /> b . Natural Areas Element/ NA Inventory Update <br /> Biological Resource Committee working with ERCD staff on developing a new <br /> Natural Areas Element to the Orange County Comprehensive Plan . Progress <br /> has been slow , but staff expects to complete a draft for CFE review in August or <br /> September . <br /> Orange County has contracted with biologist Bruce Sorrie to oversee an update <br /> to the 1988 inventory of county natural areas and wildlife habitat . The project <br /> is expected to last one year . <br /> c . Lands Legacy — Acquisitions Update <br /> - Hunter property acquisition ( proposed school site ) <br /> Cate property acquisition ( proposed district park ) <br /> Mayes property acquisition ( Seven Mile Creek Preserve ) <br /> Walters farmland conservation easement <br /> V.
