Call to Order <br /> Chair Fortmann called meeting to order at 7 * 40 p . m . <br /> II . Additions to the Agenda <br /> Fortmann asked to change the breakout session to the end of the meeting , as some of the <br /> committee members were absent and other business could be completed first . Everyone <br /> agreed . <br /> III . Approval of Minutes ( May 13 , 2002 ) <br /> MOTION : Wachholz motioned to approve the May 13th minutes . Seconded by <br /> Whisnant . <br /> VOTE : Unanimous , <br /> IV. Review of Other BOCC Goals <br /> Dave Stancil reported that the CfE in May had requested to take a look at BOCC goals <br /> pertinent to environmental issues and to be aware of what other advisory boards were <br /> working on . Stancil reviewed selected Commissioners goals noting that this year 's updates <br /> had not yet been adopted . Each goal , has the same format : Goal Statement , Status Report , <br /> Financial impact/ resource Requirements , Objectives with Tasks/ Milestones and Targeted <br /> Completion Dates , <br /> Water Resource Quantity and Quality - Gordon noted that the original WRC committee <br /> might have members interested in serving as CfE Associates . Members discussed the Water <br /> Resources goal and it 's relevance to the Natural Resources goal , Stancil noted that Orange <br /> County has submitted a grant application to the Clean Water Management Trust Fund to <br /> protect additional lands in the watershed along the Eno River , upstream of Hillsborough . <br /> Watershed Protection — Stancil reported that studies of most watersheds in the county <br /> were completed in 1991 and noted how those studies are important 10 years later to the <br /> evaluation of watershed protection standards and classifications to ensure high quality water <br /> resources in the county . <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> DRAFT SUMMARY CFE June 10 , 2002 <br />
