Conserving these lands would help ensure the long -term viablllty of the Eno River es a public water supply and high - gUslity habitat for aquatic organisms and ether wildlife that exists within the riparian conridar . A eecondary purpose is to protect known and potential archaeological sites ( historic and prehistoric) that are likely to exist within this corridor .
