Integrating Associate CFE members into CFE Committees <br /> • The CFE will recruit Associate CFE members according to the <br /> following guidelines : <br /> 1 ) Each committee will develop a 1 to 2 -page summary of the <br /> committee ' s charge, responsibilities , and goals for the year . <br /> 2) Each committee will identify potential Associate CFE <br /> members . The committee will interview and accept <br /> Associates based on the committee ' s needs . <br /> 3 ) Once an Associate has been chosen to serve on a committee, <br /> the CFE chair will send a letter of invitation to that person , <br /> welcoming him/her to the committee as an official Associate <br /> CFE member. The letter will describe the responsibilities <br /> of the individual and the committee to which they have <br /> been asked to serve (e . g. the projects he/she will work on , <br /> project or task force duration , etc .) . Length of service will <br /> be at the discretion of each committee . <br /> 4) In November of every year, each committee will evaluate <br /> each Associate CFE member ' s participation on the <br /> committee . The CFE will encourage Associates to continue <br /> working with the CFE as long as they positively contribute <br /> to the mission of the CFE . <br /> d . Recognition of Associate CFE Members <br /> • Associate CFE members shall be recognized as " Orange County <br /> CFE Associates " and shall be listed as such in official CFE <br /> documents , announcements and other media designed for public <br /> dissemination . <br /> Be Attendance <br /> 1 . Any member of the Commission for the Environment who misses more than three <br /> consecutive meetings or more than one-half of the meetings in a calendar year, for <br /> 4 <br />
