Call to Order <br /> Richard Whisnant called meeting to order at 7 : 30 p . m . <br /> II . Welcome New Members <br /> Whisnant welcomed the new members — Charles Daniel , Ken Meardon and Lindsey <br /> Wichers — to the Commission and asked each member ( new and old ) to introduce <br /> themselves to the group . <br /> III . Additions or Changes to Agenda <br /> Whisnant noted that Hervey McIver had asked to add an item to the agenda <br /> concerning The Nature Conservancy land in Orange County . <br /> IV . Review Final Draft State of the Environment Report <br /> Whisnant thanked Bradley Decker for his outstanding work on the 2002 State of the <br /> Environment report . He asked committee chairs to present their committee ' s <br /> recommendations included in the final draft . Each committee chair discussed their <br /> recommendations and answered questions from other members . Edits were <br /> suggested for committee consideration . Whisnant then asked the chair of each <br /> committee to send final edits to Decker by Friday of that week . <br /> MOTION : Crisler motioned to approve the final draft of the 2002 State of the <br /> Environment report with the proposed edits that were discussed . <br /> Whisnant seconded the motion . <br /> VOTE : Approved unanimously . <br /> V . Environmental Summit — March 29 <br /> David Stancil presented the draft agenda for the proposed Environmental Summit <br /> scheduled for March 29 , 2003 . Stancil informed the group that another group has <br /> booked the Southern Human Services Center for that day so another location was <br /> needed . Several options were proposed and discussed .
