HRA Board of Directors From the Executive Director <br /> Deborah-Amaral, President <br /> Notes from the Haw <br /> Rich Goldberg,_Vice- President I was walking across the old Bynum Bridge the other day, getting out of the <br /> Kathy Seaton, Secretary office to commune with the herons and river below, when I heard birds call an alarm, <br /> Michael Chandler, Treasurer and felt a shadow above . A bald eagle flew overhead just above me , its mighty wings <br /> Rachel Winters outstretched . We exchanged a glance, then it flew higher to catch the thermals rising <br /> Cynthia Crossen (River Watch Chair) over the hill, and circled slowly up river. It ' s always a gift to see such beautiful birds at <br /> Randy Dodd the river, and gave me new energy to tackle the latest river crisis waiting back at the <br /> Lynn Featherstone ' office. Come take a walk on this unique pedestrian bridge — I can ' t promise you ' ll see <br /> Martha Garrett (Greensboro Representa- an eagle , but the river is always inspiring . "Pumpkins on the Bynum Bridge" was <br /> tive) revived this Halloween , with some incredible pumpkin sculptures lighting up the bridge <br /> Diana Haywood railings as dusk fell. <br /> Michael Holland We 've had a great response so far to our fall membership drive - thanks <br /> Mac Jordan to everyone who has contributed.
