This year, each nominee w <br /> ill be singled out for special recognition and monetary <br /> Governor ' s Inn . While 10 of the nominees w <br /> awards for their organizations , the greatest compliment will be your support for your nominee ' s <br /> volunteer work. So , take some time to articulate how important your nominee is to your program; it ' s a <br /> very simple way to say thank you for a job well done ! <br /> JCPENNEY GOLDEN RULE AWARD PROGRAM <br /> • Only one ( 1 ) person per category may be nominated from each agency . <br /> • Deadline for the JCPenney forms to be received in the Volunteer Center office or to be <br /> postmarked is Friday , January 14 , (a, 5 p . m . <br /> • Submit the original form with 3 copies . (Total is 4 copies . ) <br /> • The competitive event awards cash donations to agencies where outstanding volunteers from <br /> the Triangle give their time ($250 for finalists; $1, 000 for winners) , <br /> • Mark your calendar for Monday , March 6 , from 4 - 6 p . m . when all nominees and nominators <br /> will be invited to a reception at the Radisson Governor ' s Inn as oo�guests of JCPenney . <br /> • inners will be published in the News & Observer. <br /> A photograph of the w <br /> TO INSURE A STRONG NOMINATION <br /> Choose a writer who knows the program and the volunteer well to fill out the form . <br /> Be brief, clear and specific in the description ; more is not necessarily better ! <br /> Have someone proof the form to see if s/he has a good idea of what the volunteer does , i . e . <br /> have you "painted a good picture" of the volunteer for the judges ? <br /> DO NOT turn in an identical form for different nominees who do the same job .
