<br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT:The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to
<br />this item:
<br />x GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY
<br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary
<br />for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their
<br />dependents.
<br />This farm conservation easement will help ensure that this prime farmland remains available for
<br />cultivation and food production, helping to provide healthy local food to County residents and
<br />others.
<br />RECOMMENDATION(S):The Manager recommends the Board adopt and authorize the Chair
<br />to sign the resolution approving the acceptance by Orange County of the conservation
<br />easement, and authorize the Chair and the Clerk to sign the conservation easement agreement,
<br />subject to final review by staff and County Attorney, with a closing and recordation of the
<br />document expected to occur on or about June 30, 2019, and approve Budget Amendment #4-A.
