Re - evaluation to be conducted when facts. are known . ) <br /> Options to accommodate space needs : <br /> Option # 1 . This department is presently located in a modular office unit leased <br /> for the County by the State of North Carolina . The five -year lease is scheduled <br /> to expire in 2008 . At that time , the lease may be renewed or the State may <br /> partner with the County to construct a permanent facility , or to lease or buy a <br /> larger modular structure . <br /> Option # 2 <br /> Adequate space for this department could be constructed as part of expansion of <br /> the Public Works administration building , which would allow shared facilities , <br /> such as break rooms , meeting rooms , restroom facilities , etc . and reduce the <br /> overall square feet needed for both projects if they were built separately . <br /> On - going discussions regarding a consolidated RPO may modify the amount and <br /> type of space needed for the transportation function . For that reason , a final <br /> decision regarding the preferred option should be held in suspension until the <br /> RPO issue is resolved . <br /> 39 <br />
