This would allow <br /> expansion for the Board of Elections at the Court Street Annex . <br /> • Note : This historical building is one of two County facilities that do not meet <br /> handicapped accessibility requirements. (The Graham Building, next door to this <br /> location is the other. ) Alternative service locations to meet the needs of <br /> handicapped clients have been designated for the current services operating <br /> from this location . <br /> • Long -term : EDC could be located with other land - related departments in the <br /> building constructed to house land related departments at the new county <br /> campus . If the land building is constructed in two phases , consider including this <br /> department in first phase in order to avoid moving twice . <br /> • Note : The study group discussed and saw merit to co - locating EDC with the <br /> Visitor' s Center , currently located at the County- owned Dickson House . EDC ' s <br /> primary customers are potential business owners seeking information about <br /> suitable Orange County locations . As such , the Department' s Director indicates <br /> that it may be of greater benefit to the potential business owners desiring to do <br /> business in the County if EDC is more strategically located with other land <br /> services departments at the new county campus . This would allow more <br /> communication between the potential business owner and other land services <br /> departments for the County from whom they would need assistance as they <br /> develop their business locations . <br /> 23 <br />
