Square footage <br /> associated with common or shared areas , such as hallways , restrooms and mechanical <br /> rooms will be applied to .the total building at such time it is configured with the various <br /> departments . As a rule of thumb , this "circulation factor' is calculated at 30% of the sum <br /> of departmental square footage . Likewise , square footage for meeting space will be <br /> calculated for the entire building at such time it is configured. <br /> Meeting Rooms <br /> The meeting rooms that are recommended for each location are in general , calculated <br /> at 25 square feet per person of the room capacity . Space proportional to capacity is <br /> added to the meeting room size to accommodate storage of tables , chairs and supplies <br /> that may be used in a meeting room . <br /> 10 <br />
