Planning Calendar for November and December <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 33 AGENDA ITEM 3: APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 34 October 3, 2018, Regular Meeting <br /> 35 <br /> 36 MOTION by Paul Guthrie to approve the October 3, 2018 Regular Meeting Minutes. Seconded by David Blankfard. <br /> 37 VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 38 <br /> 39 <br /> 40 AGENDA ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA-Craig Benedict, Planning Director will give an update on <br /> 41 the Efland-Buckhorn-Mebane Access Management Plan at the end of the meeting. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 AGENDA ITEM 5: PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 45 Chair Lydia Wegman noted there was no public present, so she did not read the public charge. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 INTRODUCTION TO THE PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 48 The Board of County Commissioners, under the authority of North Carolina General Statute, <br /> 49 appoints the Orange County Planning Board (OCPB)to uphold the written land development law of <br /> 5o the County. The general purpose of OCPB is to guide and accomplish coordinated and <br /> 51 harmonious development. OCPB shall do so in a manner, which considers the present and future <br /> 52 needs of its citizens and businesses through efficient and responsive process that contributes to <br /> 53 and promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the overall County. The OCPB will make every <br /> 54 effort to uphold a vision of responsive governance and quality public services during our <br /> 55 deliberations, decisions, and recommendations. <br />
