r <br /> i <br /> CAMP CHESTNUT RIDGE <br /> STAFF HOUSE <br /> REPAIR SPECIFICATIONS ATTACHMENT <br /> TO AUTHORIZATION TO CONSTRUCT <br /> 1. The repair is for the Staff House and has an estimated daily waste-flow of 1560 <br /> gallons. The soils are considered provisionally suitable to a depth of 30"inches and a <br /> LTAR of.25 gal/ft.sq_/day. Using some innovative technology the required linear <br /> footage is 1960' feet. 1560' x 3' of conventional gravel nitrification line and 400' x 3' of <br /> innovative nitrification line. Maximum trench depth of Ja inches. <br /> 2. The field shall be split in two "equal" sub-fields- Field"A"(4)260' x 3' conventional <br /> gravel lines. Field"B"(2)260' x 3' conventional gravel lines&(2) 200' x 3' innovative <br /> (EEE-ZZZ lay) gravelless lines. These (4) lines shall have 4"observation ports as <br /> specified on the layout sheet. The observation ports shall be at least 1' foot above <br /> finished grade&constructed of 4"sch. 40 PVC and capped for easy observation of <br /> effluent levels. <br /> 3. The minimum septic tank size shall be 2300 gallons. The minimum pump tank size <br /> shall be 2300 gallons. Since there are no available tanks of this size in the area, slightly <br /> larger tanks will be needed. Access risers shall be over each tank compartment to aid in <br /> system maintenance(4 access risers). Both the septic tank and the pump tank shall be <br /> water-tested for leakage. The tanks shall be filled with water to the invert of the outlets. <br /> An acceptable test is no leakage detected in a 24 hour period. <br /> 4. There shall be an effluent filter installed on the outlet end of the septic tank to serve as <br /> a tee and filter the effluent. The filter shall have the capability of 1/32"filtration. <br /> 5. The control panel shall be a duplex control panel with the following as minimum <br /> specifications: UL listed, Motor-Start Contactors, Current Limiting Circuit Breakers, <br /> H-O-A Pump Switches,Pump Run Lights, Fuse Disconnects,Duplex Alternator, Audible <br /> & Visual Alarm(Min. 2"red globe), Separate Alarm Circuit, Alarm Test Switch,Alarm <br /> Silence Switch, Auto Alarm Reset,NEMA 4X Enclosure with Lockable Latch, Elapsed <br /> Time Meters, Pump Cycle Counters. The control panel shall be properly rated and <br /> matched for the model pumps to be installed. There shall be 4 floats-Pump Off,Pump <br /> On, Alarm On and Lag. <br /> 6. Two(2) equal pumps to meet the minimum specifications of: 31 GPM @ 28' TDH. <br /> Pump draw-down will be based on the particular size/manufacturer of the pump tank. <br /> The dosing volume shall be 440 gallons. <br /> a,, <br /> GNWtgV= \WUn&heRiip <br /> 141 <br />
