3 <br /> <br />A. HRC members discussed having meetings without quorums. They discussed attendance <br />policy for members, and inquired about chronic absentee members. Ms. May reminded <br />the group that HRC members are allowed three consecutive unexcused absences before <br />being considered for removal. She identified chronic absentee members. She <br />encouraged HRC members to decide what constitutes as an unexcused absence and <br />have that reflect on the HRC’s mission, vision, or charge. A discussion was had on how <br />to encourage members to come to meetings and events on a more consistent basis. <br />HRC members in attendance will correspond with chronic absentee members. <br />B. Ms. May reported that the next HRC member that will be appointed will be Ms. Olivia <br />Fisher. She explained this will probably take place sometime after the BOCC considers <br />the new proposed HRC structure of 12 members, pending their approval. <br /> <br />VII. Adjourn <br />A. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10pm. <br />B. NEXT MEETING: November 12, 2018 6:00pm at the Orange County Animal Services. <br /> <br /> <br />
