Town staff will make the presentation. Any <br />materials related to this item will be provided at the meeting. <br />No Attachments <br />2. Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory and Action Plan <br />At the April 2003 Assembly of Governments meeting, Chapel Hill, Orange County and Carrboro <br />agreed to work together to develop a comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions inventory and <br />action plan. As members of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) <br />and the Cities for Climate Protection initiative, each jurisdiction has committed to undertaking <br />steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions known to contribute to global warming. <br />Following another update on proposed activities in October 2003, a staff work group began <br />meeting to develop a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Scope of Work for the inventory and <br />action plan as part of ICLEI, Orange County's Environment and Resource Conservation <br />Department was proposed as the lead agency for project coordination, with staff assistance <br />from the Chapel Hill and Carrboro Planning Departments. <br />
