Commercial Drivers are considered professionals who have met greater requirements and stand- <br />ards than drivers with other types of licenses had to meet to obtain their drivers licenses. This four hour program <br />is flexible and is applicable to drivers who operate a variety of vehicle types, operate in a variety of work condi- <br />tions and is an effective loss-control tool recognized by many insurance companies for commercial accounts. <br />What the program provides: <br /> • A classroom-based course which focuses on the commercial drivers needed to help improve their safety <br /> on the job. <br /> • A comprehensive program which is guided by a 20 page interactive Participant Guide, power point slides <br /> and an easy to understand and use Facilitator Guide with a comprehensive appendix. <br /> • A driver “risk assessment” tool to be used at the course initiation. <br />Curriculum Topics: <br /> • Distracted driving, the numerous causes of distraction while behind the wheel. <br /> • Defensive Driving Strategies i.e.; scanning, following distances, adjusting to road, weather, and other <br /> conditions experienced while driving. <br /> • Alcohol and other drugs, their impact on safe driving, and continued employment. <br /> • Fatigue and stress the ways they can put drivers at risk. <br /> • Risk reduction elements for safe driving and collision avoidance. <br />Instruction that impacts your bottom line: <br />Our Commercial Driver Safety Improvement Course was developed for commercial fleet drivers and is designed <br />to reduce collisions, improve safety on the road, and minimize insurance costs.
