This process includes <br />moving the baled material and other needs to prepare the materials for market. <br />The machine for which bids have been solicited will replace the original skid steer. The original <br />skid steer will be used as a backup at the processing pad handling the recyclable materials and <br />will also be used as needed to process and move recycled electronic material for market. <br />Purchase of this item was anticipated and budgeted for FY 2004-05, <br />Bid specifications were developed and advertised on the Purchasing Department's website. <br />Bids were solicited from ten vendors, Triangle Equipment of Raleigh, North Carolina <br />submitted the lowest responsible bid of the three submittals received at a delivered cost of <br />$22,162,00, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Total cost of this action, if approved by the Board, would be $22,162,00,. <br />Sufficient funds to cover this purchase have been appropriated in the 2004-05 Solid <br />Waste/Landfill Operations budget, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board award a bid for a Bobcat <br />S220 to Triangle Equipment of Raleigh, North Carolina in the amount of $22,162.00; and <br />authorize the Purchasing Director to execute the necessary paperwork, <br />
