14 <br /> <br />• Homeless Individuals 1 <br />• Homeless Families, including those families who 2 <br />may have children in child protective 3 <br />services 4 <br />• Person At Risk of Homelessness, including 5 <br />families who may have children in child 6 <br />protective services 7 <br />• Senior/Elderly and Disabled Individuals 8 <br />• Victims of Domestic Violence 9 <br />Families and individuals must meet the requirements and 10 <br />eligibility criteria of one of the above targeted population 11 <br />groups to qualify for the Local Rent Supplement Program. 12 <br />Homelessness/At Risk Homelessness 13 <br />For Homelessness and At Risk of Homelessness 14 <br />applicants, severity of needs is identified and verified 15 <br />through the use of Homelessness/At Risk Homelessness 16 <br />Certification Form and submitted source documents. 17 <br />Senior/Disabled applicants and Victims of Domestic 18 <br />Violence 19 <br />For Senior/Disabled applicants and Victims of Domestic 20 <br />Violence applicants, severity of needs is identified and 21 <br />verified through the use of the submitted source 22 <br />documents. 23 <br /> 24 <br />CRIMINAL BACKGROUND All participants will undergo criminal background and sex 25 <br />offender checks based on the Housing Choice Voucher 26 <br />(HCV) regulations. 27 <br /> 28 <br />DENIAL OF ASSISTANCE An applicant will be denied participation in the Local Rent 29 <br />Supplement Program if the applicant does not meet Local 30 <br />Rent Supplement Program specific admission criteria. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Participation will also be denied if the Local Rent 33 <br />Supplement Program applicant does not provide: 34 <br />1. Information that the OCHA determines is 35 <br />necessary in the administration of the program 36 <br />2. Complete and true information and it is 37 <br />discovered that the applicant does not meet 38 <br />eligibility requirements 39 <br /> 40 <br />BRIEFINGS AND VOUCHER ISSUANCE The applicant, together with all adult 41 <br />members of the household and the 42 <br />assigned case manager (if applicable) must 43 <br />be present for the initial briefing and 44 <br />voucher issuance. 45 <br /> 46 <br />Upon the completion of the initial briefing, a 47 <br />Local Voucher/Rent Subsidy voucher will be 48 <br />issued to the applicant.
