<br />The Board will consider implementing policy and personnel ordinance revisions for County employee <br />benefits for domestic partners effective January 1, 2005. <br />e. Employee Dental Insurance for 2005 <br />The Board will consider the continuation of the County's dental insurance rates for 2005 with no increase <br />and to authorize renewal with Delta Dental as the County's dental insurance plan administrator effective <br />January 1, 2005 and authorize the Personnel Director to renew the agreement. <br />f. Employee Life Insurance for 2005 <br />The Board will consider an increase in rates for employee group life insurance effective January 1, 2005. <br />g. Software Acquisition for Public Internet Access to Register of Deeds Records <br />The Board will consider authorizing the Register of Deeds to contract «~ith AmCad. A software vendor, to <br />acquire an new Internet module providing remote public electronic access to information maintained by the <br />Register of Deeds office, subject to final review by staff and the County Attorney, at a cost not to exceed <br />$10,000 and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />h. Performance Agreement for Housing Rehabilitation Administrative Services <br />The Board will consider approving the execution of a Performance Agreement with the Town of Chapel Hill <br />to provide administrative services for a Housing Rehabilitation Program funded by the Town and authorize <br />the I~Zanager to sign. <br />i. Bid Award: Standby Generators for Government Ser~~ices Center and Southern Human Services <br />Center <br />The Board will consider awarding a bid fora 200 KW diesel generator for the Southern Human Services <br />Center (SHSC) and a 125 K~~4~ natural gas generator for the Government Services Center (GSC) to Cummins <br />Atlantic from Greensboro, NC in the amount of $133,000 for providing and installing generators and transfer <br />switches and authorize the Purchasing Director to execute the necessary paper~~~ork.. <br />j. Bid Award: Skid Steer Loader for (Jrange County Recycling <br />The Board will consider awarding a bid for a Skid Steer Loader from Triangle Equipment of Raleigh, North <br />Carolina for Orange County Recycling in an amount of $22,162 and authorize the Purchasing Director to <br />execute the necessary paperwork. <br />k. Voluntary Agricultural District Designation -Walters Property <br />The Board will consider an application from Carl and Elizabeth Walters for certification as qualifying <br />farmland and designation of 173 acres as an addition to their Voluntary Agricultural District. <br />6. Resolutions or Proclamations (8:25-8:35) <br />a. Resolution Reguestin6 Congress and the President of the United States of America to Reauthorize <br />the Assault «-'eapon Ban <br />The Board twill consider a resolution requesting Congress and the President to reauthorize a ban on assault <br />weapons and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />7.
