Person At Risk of Homelessness, including those <br /> 4 who may have children in child protective services <br /> 5 4. Senior/Elderly and Disabled Individuals <br /> 6 5. Victims of Domestic Violence <br /> 7 <br /> 8 And <br /> 9 Be at or below the HUD fifty (50) percent AMI limit <br /> 10 <br /> 11 ELIGIBILITY The Orange County Housing Authority requires that <br /> 12 households, at time of entry into the program, be at or <br /> 13 below fifty (50) percent of the Area Median Income <br /> 14 (AMI). Additionally, the OCHA must provide at least fifty <br /> 15 percent (50%) of its local vouchers to applicants whose <br /> 16 income does not exceed thirty (30) percent of the AMI. <br /> 17 HUD income limits may also be used since they are <br /> 18 similar to Housing Choice Voucher income limits. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 APPLYING TO THE WAITING LIST Any individual/family who wishes to receive <br /> 21 Any individual/family who wishes to receive rental <br /> 22 subsidies under the OC Local Rent Supplement <br /> 23 Program must apply for admission to the program. <br /> 24 The Local Rent Supplement Program has a <br /> 25 separate Waiting List and assistance is restricted <br /> 26 to persons who are at or below fifty percent (50%) <br /> 27 of the AMI. Priority will be given to Homeless <br /> 28 Individuals/Families, Persons At Risk of <br /> 29 Homelessness, Senior/Elderly Disabled Individuals, <br /> 30 and Victims of Domestic Violence <br /> 31 <br /> 32 ACESSIBILITY TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS the Department of Social Services <br /> 33 (DSS), Community Centers and <br /> 34 various service providers throughout <br /> 35 the County. The Application period <br /> 36 will run from February 1, 2019 — <br /> 37 February 8, 2019. Persons having <br /> 38 questions or needing assistance in <br /> 39 completing the application may <br /> 40 contact the Orange County Housing <br /> 41 Authority/Department of Housing <br /> 42 and Community Development at <br /> 43 (919) 245-2490 or the TDD Number <br /> 44 at (919) 644-3045. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 OUTREACH AND MARKETING The new program will be announced on the <br /> 47 County's website beginning in mid-January 2019. <br /> 48 In addition, OCHA will hold a briefing for applicable <br /> 49 area service providers. <br /> 50 Full Implementation Timeline: <br />
