Land use discussion topics include: <br />• Water Quality <br />• Air Quality <br />• Traffic Congestion <br />• Urban Sprawl <br />• Population Density <br />Appendix A — Newspaper Advertisement <br />• Protection of Farmland <br />• Preservation of Open Space <br />• Rural Character <br />• Environmental Preservation <br />• Community Building <br />You are invited to come ask questions, offer your insight, hear ideas <br />for zoning, and provide your verbal and /or written comments at the <br />Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Township Meetings. <br />This is a great opportunity to meet with Planning Staff on an informal basis. Similar to <br />an Open House format, various maps and data prepared for the Land Use Element <br />Update will be on display for your review and comment. County Planning Staff will also <br />conduct a brief presentation that will include, among other items, Staffs <br />recommendations for Zoning. Light refreshments will be provided. <br />There will be additional, more formal, public hearing opportunities during this Land Use <br />Element Update and Zoning Ordinance amendment process, to review and comment on <br />strategies that are designed to address the challenges in the County. <br />For directions or other questions, contact Tom Altieri, AICP, Comprehensive Planning <br />Supervisor, Planning and Inspections Department, at 245 -2579. <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE "AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT" - interpreter <br />services and /or special sound equipment are available with prior notice.
