ti IL Outreach Process Outreach Meeting Attendance The Planning Department would like to thank all of those who attended the outreach meetings, which were designed to gather public input for updating the Land Use Element of Orange County's Comprehensive Plan. Staff is pleased with the overall attendance at the seven township meetings. Having a good citizen turnout at the outreach meetings ensures that a significant sample of the county population is represented and allows staff to capture a diverse set of opinions and suggestions. On average, 31 people attended each township meeting. Of these 31, about 19 were general citizens, 5 were County Commissioners (BOCC) or Planning Board members and 8 were Planning Department Staff members. The County Commissioners' Chairman attended every meeting. A total of 163 citizens and board members attended the township meetings to offer their input. Since these meetings, Staff has continued to discuss ideas with some participants. An additional 20 people (excluding staff) attended the Joint Boards and Commissions meeting on May 14, 2004 and 12 people (excluding staff) attended the ,Joint Chambers of Commerce and Civic Groups meeting on May 26, 2004. 11 -C -1
