H. Outreach Process <br />3.) The 4/19/04 follow -up e-mail for the Hillsborough Township <br />meeting went to: <br />Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, and Hillsborough Planning Staffs <br />POSTED BULLETINS <br />The planning department posted over thirty vivid, color bulletins advertising the <br />seven township meetings in public locations throughout Orange County. <br />Locations included convenience stores, gas stations, supermarkets, firehouses, <br />post offices, and government buildings (see Appendix C for a map of specific <br />locations). <br />PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The planning department made three types of public announcements, including: <br />announcements at meetings, a TV announcement, and an internet <br />announcement. <br />1.) Meeting Announcements <br />Announcements were made at Board of Commissioners Meetings and at <br />a Joint Assembly of Governments Meeting, <br />2.) A TV Announcement <br />An additional scrolling announcement was provided by the People's <br />Network (local cable access channel) and aired during the broadcast of <br />the Commissioners Meeting. <br />3.) An Internet Announcement <br />A flashing announcement at the top of Orange County's Homepage <br />provided a link to the complete schedule of township meetings. <br />11 -A -3 <br />I�D <br />
