NCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE PROPOSED WIDENING OF I-40 FROM I-85 TO THE DURHAM COUNTY LINE IN ORANGE COUNTY TIP PROJECT NO. I-3306A The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed widening of I-40 from I-85 to the Durham County Line in Orange County. The primary purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and relieve peak hour congestion. The meeting will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Southern Human Services Center located at 2501 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill from 4-7 p.m. The public may attend at any time during the meeting hours. Please note there will be no formal presentation. At the meeting there will be maps of the proposed plans as well as project team members who will be available to answer your questions and receive feedback. All comments will be taken into consideration as the project progresses. The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be done via phone, email, or mail no later than November 19, 2018.
