Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> The Board of Commissioners pledges its respect to all present. The Board asks those attending this meeting to <br /> conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner toward each other, county staff and the commissioners. <br /> At any time should a member of the Board or the public fail to observe this charge, the Chair will take steps to <br /> restore order and decorum. Should it become impossible to restore order and continue the meeting, the Chair <br /> will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. Please be kind to everyone. <br /> Arts Moment — Zachariah Claypole White — Introduced by OCAC Advisory Board Member Doris <br /> Friend. He has been an award-winning, published poet since elementary school. In 2017 he <br /> graduated Oberlin College with a major in creative writing, a minor in English literature, and was <br /> inducted into Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. He is a member of the North Carolina Writers' <br /> Network and the North Carolina Poetry Society. His poetry has recently appeared in the Albion <br /> Review, The Plum Creek Review, and Scalawag. He will be featured in Be a Writer Like... <br /> (forthcoming from Teaching That Makes Sense), and his flash fiction has appeared in Anchala <br /> Studios' anthology, The Collection: Flash Fiction for Flash Memory. Zachariah uses his lifelong <br /> struggle with mental illness to fuel his writing and hopes that he can use his art to help others with <br /> similar disabilities. He lives in Hillsborough, NC, is a bookseller at Flyleaf Books, and is currently <br /> working toward the publication of his first chapbook, Roads I Know. <br /> 2.
