Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough NC 27278 <br />Dear Ghair Jacobs: <br />Subject: Board Appointment <br />The Orange County Advisory Board on Aging reviewed all applicants for the <br />Aging Board At-large Position #6 that was vacated upon the resignation of Ms <br />Vicki Tilley, At the April 14th Aging Board meeting, the Board recommended Dr. <br />Janice Wassel to fill the position # 6 vacancy which term expires on 06/30/04 <br />and that she be appointed to a full year term to expire on 06/30/07, <br />Dr, Wassel is a resident of Hillsborough Township and is presently the Director <br />of Gerontology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, <br />She also has years of volunteer service with many organizations relating to aging <br />issues and serves on committees far The Institute of Aging in North Carolina a <br />UNCCH, Dr, Wassel has expressed interest in being involved with the <br />development of the new Senior Centers.
