"The 203 Project" Update and Discussion <br /> In October 2017, the Board of Orange County Commissioners and the Carrboro Board of <br /> Aldermen approved the Development Agreement associated with the development of a <br /> building on Carrboro owned property located at 203 South Greensboro Street in <br /> Carrboro. The building is contemplated to house the Orange County Southern Branch <br /> Library, the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department, The ArtsCenter, and other uses. <br /> Construction of the facility will be managed by the Town. Both Boards have received <br /> information updates as the design and development process has progressed in 2018. <br /> Perkins + Will, the project architect, has conducted several public input sessions on the <br /> vision and programming of the 203 Project and has developed a schematic design that <br /> has been presented to both Boards. This design was based upon extensive public input <br /> over the summer months, as well as from a joint stakeholder group consisting of staff <br /> members of Carrboro, Orange County, and The Arts Center. This process has also <br />
