Health Services Agreement Amendments for the Orange County Detention Center
The Board considered voting to ratify a 2011 Amendment and to approve Amendment
#2 to the Health Services Agreement for the Orange County Detention Center and authorize the
Chair to sign.

Commissioner Price said the abstract states that this health contract is based on
population of up to 180, and asked if this number is frequently reached.
Bonnie Hammersley said this contract originated in 2008, and the number is one that is
the highest it could be. She said there have been times when this number may have been
reached, but it is not common.
Commissioner Price said she is concerned that if there is a detention center that does
not even hold 180, is it necessary to have a contract that serves that many.
