Kevin Lindley, PE <br />September 7, 2018 Page 4 of 8 <br />conditions, Draper Aden Associates cannot and does not guarantee that proposals, bids, <br />or actual construction cost will not vary from opinions of probable construction cost <br />prepared by Draper Aden Associates. <br /> <br />TASK 2 PERMITTING PHASE SERVICES: <br />Consultant will assist Client with obtaining site plan approvals by preparing permit <br />applications, responding to review comments, and making plan revisions related to plan <br />review comments. Payments of all permit application or other regulatory fees will be the <br />responsibility of the Client. The anticipated permitting authorities applicable to this site <br />include: <br />x Site development review (Orange County) <br />x Erosion & Sedimentation Control (Orange County) <br />x Driveway Permit (NCDOT)- Include notification of any revisions to the existing <br />driveway. <br /> <br />TASK 3 BID ADMINISTRATION SERVICES <br />DAA will assist the Owner in advertising the project for bid, conduct a prebid meeting, <br />issuing addenda as necessary, conducting a bid opening, evaluate the bids received, and <br />recommendations of award to the Owner. Upon Award of the Bid, DAA will prepare and <br />assist the Owner in proper execution of the contract documents, respond to contractors’ <br />questions and provide technical support through the contracting process. We will assist <br />the Owner in obtaining and reviewing construction contract documentation and other <br />preliminary actions through issuance of formal Notice-to-Proceed. <br /> <br />TASK 4 CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES <br /> <br />DAA will perform Construction Phase Services as follows: <br /> <br />a.Consult with Owner and act as Owner’s representative as provided in the <br />Construction Contract. <br />b.Review product submittals and shop drawings from the selected Contractor for <br />compliance with regulatory and design specifications. <br />c.Coordinate and oversee the pre-construction meeting. <br />d.Perform site visits as necessary to observe utility installation and testing, building <br />construction, review as-built information provided by contractor, inspect site <br />construction for compliance with approved plans, and address field questions by <br />contractor. Observations by DAA are not intended to be exhaustive or intensive in <br />nature, but to verify general compliance with standards and approved plans based <br />on DAA personnel’s professional judgment. Upon the completion of the site visit, <br />a written report will be issued to the Owner indicating observations, and specifically <br />any deficiencies in the work that may need to be addressed. <br />e.Issue necessary clarifications and interpretations of the Contract Documents as <br />appropriate to the orderly completion of Contractor’s work.
