<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />September 7, 2018 <br />Mr. Kevin Lindley, PE <br />Orange County Solid Waste Management <br />PO Box 17177 <br />Chapel Hill, NC 27516 <br /> <br />Re: Proposal for Professional Engineering Services <br />High Rock Road Convenience Center Rehabilitation <br />Design and Bid Documents <br />Efland, North Carolina <br />DAA Project Number R00592-178N <br /> <br />Dear Kevin: <br />Draper Aden Associates appreciates the opportunity to provide the following proposal to <br />Orange County Solid Waste Management (Client) for preparation of design plans for the proposed <br />renovation of the High Rock Road Waste and Recycling Center in Efland, NC. The project involves <br />the modernization of an existing waste disposal convenience center to include site paving, new <br />waste compactors, and on-site water and sewer provisions to serve the attendant office. <br /> <br />PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br />Draper Aden Associates (DAA) will provide professional services as outlined below. The <br />proposed scope of work has been prepared in general accordance with the engineering standard <br />of practice and discussions of the project with the Client and consists of the following detailed <br />services: <br />TASK 1 DESIGN PHASE SERVICES: <br />1.Preliminary Site & Grading Plan <br />DAA will prepare an overall preliminary site and grading plan for discussion with the Client. <br />This plan will indicate locations of buildings, compactors, dumpsters, other waste disposal <br />areas, parking areas, driveways, entrances and other pertinent data as required for review <br />and approval of the design concept. We will then review the revised preliminary site plan <br />and grading plan with the Client and incorporate review comments into the construction <br />documents. <br />2.Construction Documents <br />Based upon conceptual layout dimensions and a footprint of the proposed buildings, <br />dumpsters, and compactors (assumed to be the same as those from the Eubanks Road <br />project, unless provided otherwise by the Client), DAA will complete the site design and <br />prepare Construction Documents.
