6 <br /> 1 Economic Development & Property Tax Base (pie chart: page 13) <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Property Tax Base Profile by Jurisdiction —2017 (pie charts: page 14) <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Commissioner Rich referred to page 13, and said Mebane only gives back 2% to <br /> 6 Orange County, yet is receiving more Article 46 tax dollars than Chapel Hill. <br /> 7 Chair Dorosin said the money is still in Orange County. <br /> 8 Commissioner Rich said she is just concerned about this. <br /> 9 Chair Dorosin said the goal of the conversation is to talk about the EDDs, which is the <br /> 10 driver behind the disparity that Commissioner Rich is seeing. <br /> 11 Commissioner McKee said there is a difference between money spent in the City of <br /> 12 Mebane, versus money spent on a Mebane address.
