Consent Agenda <br /> 6 <br /> 7 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 8 Commissioner Price: items e, g, n, q <br /> 9 <br /> 10 • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 11 <br /> 12 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> 13 approve the remaining items on the agenda. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> 18 <br /> 19 8-e Tax Collector's Annual Settlement for Fiscal Year 2017-18 <br /> 20 The Board received the tax collector's annual settlement on current and delinquent <br /> 21 taxes, consider approving by resolution the accounting thereof, upon acceptance of the reports, <br /> 22 issue the Order to Collect for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, and authorize the Chair to sign. <br /> 23 Commissioner Price asked if Orange County has always collected from real and <br /> 24 personal property taxes from Mebane City. <br /> 25 Bonnie Hammersley said this is the second year, which is outlined on page two of the <br /> 26 abstract. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> 29 approve the tax collector's annual settlement on current and delinquent taxes, consider <br /> 30 approving by resolution the accounting thereof, upon acceptance of the reports, issue the Order <br /> 31 to Collect for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, and authorize the Chair to sign. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 34 <br /> 35 8-g- Ratification — Conservation Easement for Tunnel's End Horse Farm <br /> 36 The Board considered ratifying the County Manager's decision to accept an agricultural <br /> 37 conservation easement for Tunnel's End Horse Farm. <br /> 38 Commissioner Jacobs said whenever someone is generous enough to make a <br /> 39 conservation easement, he urged the Board to put it on regular agenda to recognize them, <br /> 40 unless they prefer to go unrecognized. <br /> 41 Kim Livingston, DEAPR, reviewed the following information: <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Ratification Request <br /> 44 Tunnel's End Horse Farm Conservation Easement <br /> 45 Orange County Lands Legacy Program <br /> 46 The purpose of this agenda item is to consider ratifying the acceptance of the County Manger's <br /> 47 decision to accept an agricultural conservation easement for Tunnel's End Horse Farm. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Ms. Wegner contacted the County just before the Board of County Commissioners' summer <br /> 50 break and expressed her wishes to donate to the County a conservation easement on her 16- <br />
