EDD Expansion Information Planning Board Recommendation Oct. 3 <br /> 29 BOCC Public Hearing Nov. 1 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Planning Staff will provide subsequent notice to the BOCC with details of the Planning 101 <br /> 32 Public Education and EDD Expansion Information Meeting to be held September 26. It will also <br /> 33 seek assistance from the Orange County Department of Community Relations to help notify the <br /> 34 public of the Planning 101 portion of the meeting. Consistent with County Ordinance, <br /> 35 notification of the Public Information Meeting will be mailed to affected property owners, as well <br /> 36 as owners of property within 1000' of the amendment area. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Review of Amendment Specifics: Maps identifying the amendment area and proposed land use <br /> 39 classifications are attached. Planning Staff is not recommending any rezoning at this time. <br /> 40 Currently, the area is zoned Rural Residential (R-1). Following are the definitions of the <br /> 41 applicable future land use classifications: <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Joint* Land Use Plan Future Land Use Classification <br /> 44 "Suburban Office Complex" —These areas provide opportunities to for office and <br /> 45 employment enterprises which do not rely on walk-in customers or have a <br /> 46 manufacturing component. Businesses may be large or small but will generally arrange <br /> 47 themselves in a campus setting with limited walkability and supporting services. <br /> 48 Developments of this type should be kept small in nature to limit the peak transportation <br /> 49 impact and limited vitality. <br /> 50 <br />
