ORANGE COUNTY <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT <br />THIS AMENDMENT, agreed to this 23rd of June, 2004, between Orange County and Orange EMS & <br />Resaue Squad, Inc. <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, Orange Caunty (County) and Orange EMS & Rescue Squad (Squad) entered into a contract <br />July 1, 2003 for ongoing collaboration between the two agencies in the provision of EMS service at <br />special events, the leasing of space in Squad facilities for use by the County, and the provision of <br />services and equipment by the Caunty for the Squad; and <br />WHEREAS, the County and Squad wish to continue this contract at the current level of service; and <br />WHEREAS, the Squad has satisfactorily executed its responsibilities under the contract during the 2003- <br />04 fiscal year, but various factors contribute to the need to amend this contract to provide far its month- <br />to-month continuation; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and premises herein contained, the <br />parties agree that the CONTRACT dated July 1, 2003 is amended as follows: <br />SECTION V "TERM" is revised to read as follows: "This agreement shall run from July t, 2004 <br />and shall be renewable an a month-to-month basis through June 30, 2005." <br />2.
